My family took a two week trip to Korea in June of 2000. We visited several locations around the country including Seoul, the DMZ, Puson, and Kyong-Ju. This is a collection of the best photos from the trip.
This is a brief compilation of photos highlighting the Aurora series (1 thru 4) of solar cars built by the University of Minnesota Solar Vehicle Project. A more detailed history can be found at the Project's website.
Well, if you're Asian or feel Asian you better check out i-am-asian.com. Nothing is more representative of Asian culture and heritage than a Big Mac, right? I just don't get the point of this website. Is McDonalds trying to appeal to the Asian demographic? Why would posting a website showing people munching McDonald's food and listing Asian holidays help do that?
I suppose they might be trying to boost self-esteem. After all, according to Mickey D's, your knowledge of McDonalds will impress an extraordinarily wide variety of people:
If you bone up on your McDonald's trivia, you can really impress your girlfriend, boyfriend, parents, grandparents, relatives, teachers, landlord, tenant, neighbor, plumber, gardener, sister, brother or boss.
I'll get right on that after I finish studying for my Statistics Final. . .
We had a major thunderstorm last night and unfortunately the high winds felled a tree in the backyard. Fortunately the tree didn't take anything with it when it fell. Ryan and his chainsaw have volunteered to handle the clean up. That should produce some rather interesting photos.
Although this half of the tree was alive when it fell, it looks like much of the structure at the base was rotten, which severely weakened the tree.
