Okay, so I've been wanting to create a website for about 4.5 years, but being a moderately afflicted perfectionist I insisted upon a very clean and full featured design. I had very little interest in learning much about html, perl, databases (and whatever else you need to know to make a good site work). I made an early attempt via Dreamweaver, but it didn't offer real weblog content management. It seemed as though it was only a matter of time before someone figured out a way to implement powerful features in a straightforward manner. Enter TypePad. Voila! Mechanical Empathy was born in a manner of hours.
So, what am I going to do here? Well, I've never done a blog before, so I'm sure it will take me awhile to find my stride, but I'm just going to post stuff that interests me and see if anyone likes it. Leave comments and let me know how I'm doing. I'll eventually get an email address up on the about me page, but I've got to get a spammable alias first.
